Dubai is now a name to reckon
with in the golfing circuit. With
some of the best 18-hole
courses, one of them floodlit,
the city has gained a reputations
for offering some of the most challenging golf.
The Emirates Golf Club is probably the most famous out of the
three clubs in Dubai as it is the host for the 'Dubai Desert Classics'
every year. It is located on Sheikh Zayed Road, about 30 minutes
drive from the city centre and the 9-hole course are a great challenge
for every golfer.
The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club is located in the city centre,
right by the riverbank of the creek, which adds to the scenic
beauty of the 18-hole and the 9-hole course. Both courses confront
the golfer with several water hindrances.
The Dubai Golf and Racing Club in Nad Al Shiba has an 18-hole
course, which is beautifully designed and situated near the racetrack.
Here, the golfer can even play in the night as the course is floodlit
after sunset.
The Jebel Ali Hotel and Golf course is a world-renowned resort
far off from the busy city. It offers its visitors amongst various
other activities, a state-of-the-art 18-hole course with all facilities
that add to the amazing greenery of this man-made oasis resort.
